The SCAMP Framework Vol.3: Urban, Architecture, Wellness, Fashion and Surreal Prompts
Each genre in Vol.3 uses the SCAMP framework differently. Here is how to write cinematic prompts for each one.
By now you know the SCAMP framework: Subject, Camera, Atmosphere, Mood and Palette. But what makes Vol.3 different is that each of its five genres requires a completely different approach to applying these five elements. Understanding the genre-specific nuances is what separates good prompts from great ones.
Street and Urban: Work the Edges and Name the Tension
Street prompts position the camera as witness, not director. The action is already happening. Describe what the camera discovers, not what it creates. And name the social tension explicitly — gentrification, class, immigration — Seedance will find the visual language.
A corner shop whose owner has been there for 30 years watching the neighbourhood change around them, a young customer asking a question the owner has heard a hundred times from a hundred different new residents. Intimate interior, shop light. Long memory, short tenure, the city in a single transaction.
Architecture: Describe the Scale Relationship
Architecture needs a human element to convey scale. Name both the light source and what it does to the material — not just sunset light but sunset light turning brutal concrete briefly golden.
A medieval monastery built into the face of a mountain, accessible only by climbing the mountain itself, the monks who built it long dead but the structure they raised still holding. Wide establishing, mountain sacred light. Spiritual inaccessibility, architectural devotion, the building as prayer.
Wellness: Specify the Stillness and Include the Before
Wellness prompts need to communicate active stillness. Include the state before the practice to make the transformation visible. The restlessness before the meditation. The effort of arriving before the peace of being there.
A Vipassana meditation centre at dawn, every student in complete silence, some sitting, some walking, the profound peace of collective quiet visible in every face and posture. Static wide, dawn meditation light. Collective silence, achieved stillness, the quiet that must be earned.
Fashion: Name the Fabric and the Relationship
Every fashion prompt should name the specific fabric and the relationship between parties — designer and client, garment and body, tradition and innovation.
A couture designer selecting the fabric that will define a new collection, touching each candidate, the selection taking a full day, the decision being made as much by hand as by eye. Documentary atelier, material selection light. Material intelligence, touch before design, the fabric choosing.
Surrealism: Apply Dream Logic Consistently and Describe the Normal Reaction
The most effective surrealist prompts have internal consistency — establish the impossible rule then follow it. And describe the normal reaction to impossible things. That normalcy within the impossible is the key.
A room slowly filling with water from no source, the objects beginning to float toward the ceiling, the person inside continuing to read their book as if this were a minor inconvenience at most. Static wide, rising water. Surreal domestic, impossible met with ordinary patience.
